Today was a really hard day. Not an infrequent thing anymore, it seems like. Life has gotten so much more complicated, so much more trying.
In his book the Alchemist, Paulo Coelho said, "When each day is the same as the next, it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises."
Are the days getting harder or am I failing to realize all the good things in my life? I decided to take Coelho's challenge: Let's see what tomorrow brings. For now, two good things, a comfortable mattress and a decent night sleep. Today and its pains are history. As sure as the sun outside is setting, it is sure to rise again in a few hours, and tomorrow... is another day.
