Searching for the authentic and the meaningful

We are usually attracted by the apparent beauty of things and often distracted from looking beyond the surface and the obvious, though this is where true character and meaningful beauty typically reside. The top side of this embroidery piece made by an amazing lady is beautiful. But I was even more impressed by the character of the other side, the one that will lie in the shadow, away from the spotlight, the side no one may ever lay eyes on. It told me the story of the real thing, the story I wanted to hear. Searching for the authentic and the meaningful and cherishing my precious finds.
